Course Delivery and Assessment Structure
A Smarter, Less Stressful Way to Learn
Unlike many providers who pack everything into one long day, we take a learner-focused approach.
We recognise that every student has a different learning style and benefits from flexibility.
That’s why our course is structured with a blended learning model:
- Step 1: Pre-Course Learning (3–4 hours): As soon as you enrol with us, you will receive an email with instructions on watching videos, completing simple multiple-choice quizzes, and completing real scenarios before class to build confidence and understanding. This may vary per learner.
- Step 2: Classroom Training and Assessment (~7 hrs): Because you come prepared, the classroom experience is clear, engaging, and not overwhelming! The training consists of lectures and a theory assessment based on classroom lectures, group discussions, and real-world examples. Upon successful completion, you will be issued a Statement of Completion (SOC) for an Immediate Start to work as a Traffic Controller!
- Course time: 9am – 4:30pm
- Course Days: Tuesday, Thursday and Weekends
- Step 3: Outdoor Practical Assessment*(~ 5 hrs)
- Q: Why another Assessment upon completion of classroom training and assessment if I have an Interim Certificate to work as a traffic controller?
- A: SafeWork NSW mandates that, due to the high-risk nature of this work, all participants must meet specific requirements before obtaining an unrestricted Traffic Control Work Card (TCWT) or licence. SafeWork NSW expects that all participants must demonstrate competency in real-world road conditions to ensure public safety when using traffic control equipment and methods.
You can complete your live practical assessment with us on Wednesdays and Saturdays, you must complete it within 90 days, This is separate to the class room session. You can book here for your practical. Upon successful completion, you will be issued a Statement of Attainment (SOA) and your Traffic Control Work Cards (TCWT) from SafeWork NSW via Posr.
