White Card Training
This is a one-day course
- Face-to-face training in the classroom covering safety on construction sites. Refer to the White Card Page for more details.
Traffic Control Combo Course
Flexible Mode of Course Delivery
- Step 1: Compulsory pre-course learning – This will be emailed to you once you have booked. Self-paced learning consists of videos and short answer questions, approximately four to eight hours (varies per trainee’s relevant knowledge and skills). You must complete this activity prior to the course commencement. The purpose of home learning is to provide you with an opportunity to familiarise yourself with the course content.
- Step 2: Face-to-Face Training Two sessions (one day) will be delivered for both TC and IMP courses. You may choose to split your theory into two days. The training consists of lectures and theory assessment. Upon successful completion, you will be issued a Statement of Completion (SOC) for an Immediate Start to work as a Traffic Controller!
- Step 3: Live Assessment: For an unrestricted license, you must attend the live practical assessment within 60 days of completing classroom training. You can book here for your practical. Upon successful completion, you will be issued a Statement of Attainment (SOA) and your Traffic Control Work Cards (TCWT) from SafeWork NSW.

Why do you need the COMBO Traffic Control Course?
This is for those who wish to stop and start traffic using a Stop/Slow Bat, Portable Traffic Lights, or Boom Gates. Additionally, be able to implement Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS), previously known as Traffic Control Plan (TCP). You will be able to conduct more traffic management roles than just the traffic control course on its own.
Course Pre-requisites
- LLN Assessments: Participants in the Traffic Control Courses must have satisfactory communication skills in English to meet industry standards and ensure they can complete the course. If you’re unsure about your English proficiency, please contact our office at info@alliestraining.edu.au or call 02 9557 7466.
- Must be over 17 years old and provide 100 points of ID requirements. See the next section, “Identity Requirements” for more information.
Identity Requirements
Australian or Overseas Persons in Australia
- Must have 100 points of ID confirming their Date of Birth, Address, Photo and address using combination of IDs as per the table below.
- EOI form.
- The minimum age requirement to do the traffic control course is 17 years old. You must be at least 17 years old when you join your class.
Please bring original 100 points of ID. NO PHOTOCOPIES, NO PICTURES OF ID WILL BE ACCEPTED. If you have less than 100 points, contact our office before the course date. You will not be allowed to commence the course and no refund will be issued. Re-enrolment is full course fee.

Fair Refund Policy
- If you fail to bring appropriate identification on the day you, you will not be eligible for a refund – you will have to reschedule your course, paying the full course fee.
- If you fail to complete your course pre-learning, a re-booking fee applies.
- If you are found not yet competent for a course, you will not receive a refund. Re-assessment fees may apply.
- Reschedulations/cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance, regardless of when the booking was made ($29 non-refundable booking fee).

The closest train station is Sydenham Train station, a 5-10 minute walk. We also have a range of bus stops near by as well.

If coming by car, there is free all day street parking surrouding us but please be mindful to arrive early to find parking.
