RCG Course (Responsible Conduct of Gambling)

Responsible gambling services training is required for staff working in gaming machine areas of NSW licensed venues, including pubs, clubs and hotels.

Allies Training Centre is approved under Liquor & Gaming NSW to deliver accredited, nationally recognised RCG training .

Duration: 6.5 hours

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to deliver responsible gambling services in line with NSW regulatory requirements.

What you will learn:

• Responsible gambling strategies and harm-minimisation practices
  • Legal obligations of staff, including management and hoteliers
  • How to identify indicators and impacts of problem gambling
  • The legislative framework for gambling in NSW
  • Implementing responsible gambling practices in licensed venues

Certificates and competency card:

On successful completion, you will receive:
• Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment
• Interim RCG Certificate (valid for 90 days)

You must attend Service NSW within 90 days to obtain your competency card, which is valid for five (5) years .

ARCG Course (Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling)

ARCG training is required for certain licensees, approved managers and club secretaries to meet advanced compliance obligations under NSW gaming legislation.

Allies Training Centre delivers ARCG training in line with Liquor & Gaming NSW requirements.

Duration: 6.5 hours

Key learning outcomes include:

• Advanced understanding of NSW gambling legislation
  • Risk management and compliance responsibilities
  • Managing gambling-related harm at a leadership level
  • Incident reporting and regulatory obligations
  • Developing and maintaining responsible gambling practices within venues

ARCG certification is valid for five (5) years.

Complete your RCG and ARCG with Allies Training Centre and ensure you are fully compliant, confident and ready to take the next step in NSW hospitality and gaming.

To enrol and participate, students must:

• Bring valid photo identification (driver’s licence, passport or approved photo ID)
  • Have sufficient English literacy to complete training and assessment
  • Be at least 15 years old to complete RCG (industry work permitted from 18 years)

• Photo identification: If you do not bring acceptable photo ID on the day, you will not be eligible for a refund. You will be required to reschedule and pay the full course fee again.
• Rescheduling: Rescheduling must be made greater than 48 hours prior to the course start time. Written notice must be emailed to accounts@alliessecurity.edu.au .If less than this, full course fee will be payable to rebook. Cancellations made after the course date will not be accepted, and the full fee will apply for any future booking.
• Cancellations: 7 days required for any cancellations. Less than 7 days notice are non-refundable.
